Gone Fishing

CC Designs released new DoveArt Design stamps last week and now I’ve added them to Little Miss Muffet Stamps this week.  The Little Misses are celebrating with a blog hop, prizes and a weekend sale.  Booyah!  Below you’ll find all the hop links but also make sure you stop at the LMMS Blog for all the details on the prizes.  Plus you’ll spot the coupon code for 20% off your order!  Can you say savings?!

For my project, I’ve used Gone Fishing and created a boy’s birthday card.  This truck reminded me of one that my grandfather had.  His was a light blue but it was completely rusted – so rusted that the metal had holes in it.  I thought it was fascinating! So in tribute to that, I decided to color this truck blue as sort of a younger version of the truck.

The card I kept simple but I added a little sentiment on the bottom using the Happy Days Tab Sentiment with accompanying chipboard embellishment. Then I doodled on the card and tied it up with some multicolored twine.   Hope you like it and thanks for joining the hop!

Autumn

Here’s a project that I enjoyed working on.  It started with her turquoise hair which was inspired by Marika!  Then I decided to take this stamp, Autumn from Little Darlings, with an autumn theme, and convert it to something more generic.  So I skipped on stamping the leaves and colored the rake to resemble a broom instead.

The card also features the Happy Days Tab Sentiments, with accompanied chipboard embellishment, and the Cutters Baggie ‘n Tag, tag only, which was a left over from another project that I refurbished. The many ribbons on the tag was also inspired by Marika – thanks Marika for the ideas!  Finally I added some faux stitching with my marker and a few pink acrylic dots.

Hope you’re having a great weekend and thank for stopping by my blog today!

Updated to include a detailed picture of the little button nose per Zoe’s request.  🙂

Swings ‘n Slides Coconut Shy

It’s been one of those days where I finally get everything done that I “needed” to get done but nothing that I really “wanted” to get done.  Sigh.  So this will be a short post but I wanted to share the project I created with the Swings ‘n Slides images that everyone helped me with.  I have saved the color combos on this one too but have since lost it.  Boo.  😦  However, if I ever find them then I’ll come back in and update this post to add them.  In the mean time… enjoy!

For this project I used these stamps:

Zoe by Christa

This project makes use of the Colouring Long Hair in Fine Detail eBook by Make it Craft and the image featured in that is Zoe by Christa, a Saturated Canary image. Zoe has done a great job instructing and teaching how to color long hair in fine details – just like the title suggests – and more!  I colored this one with watercolors and tried something new.  It turned out better than I had hoped.  Watercolors always gives me problems because I tend to use too much water and then everything gets to be a mess. LOL

I also used some chipboard embellishments by MiC and this time colored it with Prismacolor Pencils.  The main butterfly is colored to resemble a Cattleheart butterfly and the blue ones are suppose to be Blue Morpho butterflies.  Then the tiny red ones were just colored red because I needed more red.  Using the Prismacolor Pencils on the chipboard alwasy comes out with a nice color tone.  I think the softer led helps with that.

Grizzly Bear and Baggie-Tag Die

I have another adorable image from Make it Crafty to show off today and this one is small enough that I made a mini tag!  This is Grizzly Bear digital stamp from Make it Crafty and the tag die is C.C. Designs Cutters Baggie and Tag Die which is available at Little Miss Muffet Stamps.  This was a fun quick project and easy to make.  Photographing was the most difficult part.  LOL

The heart, arrow and l-o-v-e letters were created with clay in a rubber mold.  They took over night to dry then I colored two of them with Copic markers.  The blue arrow was then covered with a sparkly glitter stuff.

Hope you like it!  Make sure to visit Make it Crafty for Zoe’s adorable Meadow Girls Digital Stamps!  There may even be some other cuties that you find.  😀  And for rubber stamp fans, you’ll find all the MiC Rubber Stamps 10% Off in the LMMS shop!  One way or the other… I see some shopping to do in your near future.  He he he

Wishful Asha and Jojo

Have you seen the new Meadow Girls over at Make it Crafty yet?  They’re adorable and I couldn’t resist not coloring one up!  😀  I picked out Wishful Asha and paired her with Jojo to make this cute couples scene.  There was magic done on Jojo to remove his flowers then I budded him up next to Asha for a sweat kiss.  I was inspired by Delphine‘s coloring of Lucky Tara and decided to also go for a lucky St. Patrick’s theme for this card.

I used some older sets of chippies, (aka chipboard embellishments) also from Make it Crafty, and painted some of them with Liquid Pearls and glitter.  Lastly I added some ribbon and finished off the card.  I hope you like it and thanks for dropping by this weekend!
