Patriotic Horse

Yeeha! Get your boots on and come on down to celebrate with us today! This week I’m releasing four new Little Miss Muffet Stamps and today you can see two of them at Little Miss Muffet Challenges. I’m showing off Patriotic Horse and gave this little wrangler a Texas theme. ;D Of course, the flag can be customized for any occasion!

July is coming up which is when we see a lot of fireworks in our area as we celebrate our country. It was always ironic to me to use fireworks on such an occasion but the bright colorful explosions are a crowd pleaser and always something to enjoy! So among all the other Snugly Giftables… this one is perfect to fill in the slot for July.

I have two more months on the drawing board which means I’m only a couple more images away from a full set – 12 months of Snugly Giftables! You’ll soon see a monkey, turtle and of course a cat for October. ;D I’ve enjoyed using these for kid’s birthday cards and even a few for Father’s Day too. Hope you like this one and signing off with a big Texas accent… “Y’all come back now ya hear!”

I’d like to enter this into the following challenges:

Did you know? The Texas Flag Code states that single (lone) star “represents ALL of Texas and stands for our unity as one for God, State, and Country.” The three colors of the Texas flag are red, white and blue – blue stands for loyalty, white for purity, and red for bravery. In addition, the flag and gave rise to the state’s official nickname “The Lone Star State.” The pledge of allegiance to the state flag is as follows: “Honor the Texas flag; I pledge allegiance to thee, Texas, one state under God, one and indivisible.”

Agent Bubblegum

Welcome to another great challenge at Little Miss Muffet Challenges where the theme for this fortnight is “Numbers” – we want to see big ones or little ones on your projects. ;D Plus there is a new rules… IF you use a Little Miss Muffet Stamp then the theme is always Anything Goes! So let’s see what you’ve been making!

I used Agent Bubblegum for my project and wanted to create a grand birthday card for a special princess. So I found a large number eight chipboard and covered it using one of my paint daubers in a Pearl color. I think the white helps it stand out without distracting too much from the main image.

Because the background and main image were busy, I decorated the rest using solid colored embellishments including fabric flowers, laser cut chipboard corners and wide twill tape. The wording is from a Winnie the Pooh story book that I used for “scraps” and tear out pages from. This one had little Piglet and I made sure he wasn’t be covered.

I’d like to enter this into the following challenges:
Going Grey with Scrap-Creations Challenge (happy birthday)
Party Time Tuesdays Challenge # 19 (summer birthday)

Coriander as Goldilocks

Here’s one of the newest releases at Little Miss Muffet Stamps… meet Coriander all dressed up as Goldilocks! 😀 She’s part of the Sugar ‘n Spice Dolls and one that I was kindly “instructed” by my Mom to finish up! LOL But it’s nice to show her off and I already have another one in the works.

I had the hardest time with this card so I’m excited to get it finished. This is actually my third image on this card if you can believe that! But I decided it had to be used, so after finding some new laser cut chipboard embellishments from Make it Crafty, I was finally able to complete it.

There are two other images also released today so I hope you get a chance to check them out over at Little Miss Muffet Challenges! I’ve even included a new Agent in the Operation TREEHOUSE theme! 😀

Did you know? “Pangur Bán” is an Old Irish poem, written about the 9th century at or around Reichenau Abbey. It was written by an Irish monk, and is about his cat. Pangur Bán, “white fuller”, is the cat’s name. Although the poem is anonymous, it bears similarities to the poetry of Sedulius Scottus, prompting speculation that Sedulius is the author. In 8 verses of four lines, the author compares the cat’s activities with his own scholarly pursuits.

Update: I was featured at Flutter By Wednesday for this challenge!

Agent Cupcake Descending

Welcome to another challenge from Little Miss Muffet Challenges! This week our challenge theme is to use metal embellishments. I couldn’t think of any better way to use this metal star that has been sitting on my desk unclaimed by the kids.

I used one of my new stamps, Agent Cupcake Descending, which was released last week. I had coordinated the colors with some paper on the desk – if you haven’t noticed, I get a lot of inspiration from things left on my desk. LOL If it isn’t put away you’re sure to see it on another project soon enough. ;D

I wanted to mix up the elements on this card so I have heart themed paper but in earth tones; a nice big flower but made out of rough corduroy fabric; swirl flourished but in stark black; and finally the metal star as the shining embellishment but with a fun adventurous theme just like the image.

I’m also excited to show you the back of my card! I “cashed in” all my chips and favors with my good friend Zoe and begged her to make a couple custom stamps. Ok, it wasn’t all that hard to do, but it has been one of the best special one-time favors ever! Thanks Zoe! 😀

Did you know? The official name of the Philippines has changed several times in the course of the country’s history. During the Philippine Revolution, the Malolos Congress proclaimed the establishment of the República Filipina or the Philippine Republic. From the period of the Spanish-American War and the Philippine-American War until the Commonwealth period, American colonial authorities referred to the country as the Philippine Islands, a translation of the Spanish name. During the American period the name Philippines began to appear and it has since become the country’s common name. Since independence the official name of the country has been the Republic of the Philippines.

Agent Cupcake Spotted

Here’s another new release from Little Miss Muffet Stamps! Agent Cupcake is one versitle gal and you never know what she might do when up against the boys next door of the “GAG: Girls Are Gross” club! She was released in three poses along with the essential Treehouse Headquarters.

I loved the different ways the design team have colored these new releases! Check them out over at Little Miss Muffet Challenges and see all the wonderful inspiration they provided. All four images are now available in the store and I hope you’ve liked the new theme: “Operation TREEHOUSE”

I used a lot of black in my project to give it an “undercover” feel and added the stars to convey a nighttime scene. Of course, it helps with the operation if the moon is hidden behind some clouds! 😀

I’d like to enter into the following challenges:
Aud Sentiments Challenge #28 (no sentiments)

Did you know? The 1906 French Grand Prix was a motor race held on 26 and 27 June 1906, on closed public roads outside the city of Le Mans. The Grand Prix was organised by the Automobile Club de France (ACF) at the prompting of the French automobile industry as an alternative to the Gordon Bennett races, which limited each competing country’s number of entries regardless of the size of its industry. The ACF chose a 103.18-kilometre (64.11 mi) circuit, composed primarily of dust roads sealed with tar, which would be lapped six times on both days by each competitor, a combined race distance of 1,238.16 kilometres (769.36 mi). Lasting for more than 12 hours overall and has become known as the first Grand Prix.

Treehouse Headquarters

Here’s my second preview today of new releases from Little Miss Muffet Stamps… this one is one of my favorites! I mean, what girl wouldn’t want to have a fancy treehouse in the backyard with all the works! It even has a slide which was a last minute addition. ;D

Also, don’t forget to check out the winner of the Miss Anya Hats Off set announced in the previous post! (Click Here or scroll down.)

Operation TREEHOUSE: Treehouse Headquarters

The name of this theme is “Operation TREEHOUSE” and this is the girls main headquarters. The girls, of course, are resourceful so they’ve found ways to spruse up the triple-deck treehouse. The girls rally together each day to fight the evil boys nextdoor of the “GAG: Girls Are Gross” club!

This is only the second image of four that are being released this week and you can check out all the inspirational projects that the design team made over at Little Miss Muffet Challenges! I hope you like this new theme and check back tomorow for two more previews! 😀

Did you know? Tafl games were a family of ancient Germanic and Celtic board games played on a checkered or latticed board with two teams of uneven strength. The size of the board and the number of pieces varied, but all games involved a distinctive 2:1 ratio of pieces, with the lesser side having a king-piece which started in the centre. The king’s objective was to escape to (variously) the board’s periphery or corners, while the greater force’s objective was to capture him. Tafl spread everywhere the Vikings traveled, including Iceland, Britain, Ireland, and Lapland. Versions of Tafl, comprising Hnefatafl, Alea Evangelii, Tawlbwrdd, Brandubh, Ard Ri and Tablut, were played across much of Northern Europe from earlier than 400 CE until it was supplanted by Chess in the 12th century.
