Cadrian

It’s time for another challenge over at Little Miss Muffet Challenges and this one is all about Scallops!!  So we want to see your project encircled with scallops or lots of scallops in between.  😀   Be sure to head on over to the LMM Blog for all the design team inspiration because they’ve really outdone themselves with this one!!

For my project I used Cadrian from Little Miss Muffet Stamps and I backed her up with the Snap Dragon Garden from Make it Crafty.  For my scallops, I used a bunch of diecuts to create the scalloped border in the background (adorned with ribbon and a chippie) and the banners in the background.  If I was thinking ahead on this one I would have done a scalloped card border but that was more of an after thought.  LOL

If you might have noticed already, I actually colored this one with colored pencils!!  Yes, that’s right – it’s another attempt at using those pencils of mine and so far I think this one has turned out better than the rest.  My techniques are always so different betwix the pencils and the Copic markers that it’s still hard to change.  However, I might have some opportunity to use them on my vacation this weekend so I’m taking them along.  The pencils are always more managable in terms of storage so they’ll fit nicely hidden under my seat.

Thanks for stopping by and checking out my project.  For those who are wondering… I got my final grade for my class this evening and it looks like I can progress to the next semester!!  Whohoo!  At the end of each sememster I have a final test and teacher interview to discuss my progress, which was this evening, and she suggestion that I should continue on!!  Phew – just knowing is a releif!  However, next semester is three times more time consuming so we’ll see how I feel once it starts.  Ack!

Hola Butterfly

Wow, it’s that time already – time for another release at Little Miss Muffet Stamps!  Today we have new images all the way around including Pollycraft and Hatters!  Plus there are lots of surprises and prizes that you don’t want to miss out on so check out the LMM Blog today for all the details – there is a sale that is going on and it ends on Sunday!

For my project I used Hola Butterfly from Little Miss Muffet Stamps which was actually drawn for a fundraiser!  My daughter was reading Monarch Magic! by Lynn Rosenblattand in the back had some fundraiser ideas.  Instead of sitting out in 109 degree weather selling cupcakes and lemonade, I suggested we draw images.  Lucky for me she thought that was a great idea!   She has drawn and colored the five stages of the Monarch Butterfly then I added a festive butterfly to join in on the fun – it all comes in a package deal!  So during the month of August, for each one sold, we will donate $2.00 to the Monarch Butterfly Fund

Each of the five stages of the Monarch Butterfly were represented: the egg on the leaf, caterpillar eating the milkweed plant, a larger caterpillar, the cocoon and finally the full grown butterfly!  They were all drawn and colored by herself and I’m so proud of how they turned out.  She has an attention to detail and was trying to get all the little bits in there.  😀  Here’s her card that she made…

The flowers were from Arabella as a little surprise gift and we both had fun using them on our projects.  Thanks Arabella!  😀  Thanks for coming by and I hope you all have a great weekend!  I’ll be back on Sunday and don’t forget about the weekend sale at Little Miss Muffet Stamps.  ;D  For details, click HERE.

Celeste Amberglow Owl Always Love You

Hello, hello, hello!  The week is almost over but before we get to the weekend we have a new challenge starting over at Little Miss Muffet Challenges… and this one is much easier than the last!  The theme is icecream and not just any icecream but Neapolitan icecream!!  We want to see projects inspired by this summer favorite with chocolate, vanilla and strawberry colors.  😀

For my project I used Celeste Amberglow Owl Always Love You from Little Miss Muffet Stamps drawn by the fantastic Paula!  For the colors I went with a white vanilla, light pink and that yummy dark chocolate brown.  😀  I think icecream is one of my favorites and I don’t mind having it all year around… even in the middle of winter.  I know, it’s strange, but it’s still a favorite.  LOL

For those wondering, I did well on my mid-term exam and passed with a 81% then I got extra credit which bumped it up to 86%.  For this test it wasn’t too bad considering that the highest in the class was an 84% before extra credit.  Phew… I’m glad that is over with and now I can study for my final exam which will be next week.  These summer schedules are always so crammed in for time but I’m excited to say I’ll live through it.  LOL

Thanks for dropping by and I hope you get a chance to visit the LMM Challenge Blog to see the other design team’s creations and/or come say “Hi” in the new FaceBook group!

Chili Pepper

We’re on our second day of releases for Little Miss Muffet Stamps and I took the opportunity to create another boy card!  This project uses Chili Pepper which is one of the six digi stamps that were released today!!  Most of the boy cards I send out are used in the early part of the year so I’ll be stocking up for the rest of the year, hopefully.  LOL

The chipboard key was covered with acrylic paint and I also added some metal embellishments from my stash.  The little Graphic45 buttons were a gift from Arabella and I couldn’t wait to use them!  She was sneaky and added them to a package that arrived just a while ago.  😀  Thanks Arabella!

Thanks for stopping by and I hope you get a chance to visit the LMMS Blog to see all the other wonderful creations that the design team has created – they’ve done a fabulous job showing off these new images!  They’re the best! 😀

Monster Nom-Nom

Now available in rubber!  I have released eight new rubber stamps over at Little Miss Muffet Stamps and will be retiring their digi counterparts this week – so if your a rubber stamp lover, then run over and if your a digi stamp lover, then run over too!  😀  Check out What’s New or visit the LMMS Blog for details on the retiring digis and also to see the latest winner!!

For my project I used Monster Nom-Nom in rubber stamp form from Little Miss Muffet Stamps and the sentiment is also from LMMS!  For a limited time, one of two sentiment stamps will be included with any order including these new releases – they are “Good Times” and “CELEBRATE”.

I loved coloring his feet this time around and may have to draw up another monster or two just featuring the feet!  LOL  Another fun thing I did was paper peice the heart instead of coloring it in.  It add a lot more to the image since it’s a larger area and I went in with T0 and T2 to add some shadowing.  Hope you enjoyed this little monster and be sure to come back tomorrow for even more new releases!  *Hugs
