Valerie

Today is the day for another challenge at Little Miss Muffet Challenges and this fortnight we want to see you create with printed paper such as a story book, dictionary, encyclopedia, etc or decorative paper that looks like printed text.  This is a theme that is always fun for me, however, I didn’t have time to create a card so I’m going to show an alternative challenge theme – Anything Goes – that is provided that you’ve used a Little Miss Muffet Stamp or Diecut on your project.  😀

My card today uses Valerie from Little Miss Muffet Stamps and the sentiment is from Stampin’ Up (however, I don’t remember the name as I got it off of eBay).  Remember those bright blue papers?  Well this time I used the gray portion and the colors didn’t turn out as bad – certainly a difference from the neon blue that was coming out on the last card.

The butterfly is metal and was a find at the local scrapbooks store – the hardest part was figuring out when I wanted to use it!  I should have bought a couple so I wasn’t hording them but then again, the purpose of buing only one was to not hord them.  Such is life, I suppose.  LOL

Thanks for coming by and make sure you get a chance to visit the LMM Challenge blog to see all the wonderful creations by the design team  – they’ve really out done themselves!!

Lil’ Kitty

Hello, hello, hello!  It’s a holiday today and a strange feeling at that.  Just a week ago we all started school and now we’re already set for a three day weekend – odd, but welcomed!  😀  So while we’re all relaxing in our PJs or playing in the backyard with our friends, I thought I’d show off a card I had made a while back.

If you can believe, I have over 20 posts in draft mode just waiting to show but lately it’s been difficult to get the time to come in and say howdy.  However, having the extra time has been beneficial.  😀  So this project uses Lil’ Kitty from Little Miss Muffet Stamps which is one of the many cute Pollycraft images that have come over to find a new home.

I love this one as it reminds me so much of my own little girls who love wearing hats – even when it’s 100 degrees outside they’re still adorning their latest find!!  No kidding…. this last weekend we found an adorable knitted owl hat and they’ve been fighting over ever scince just so they can take a turn wearing it.  Just too cute sometimes.  😀

That’s about it for me today, short and sweet and hopefully a little inspirational too.  Have a great weekend and for those who don’t have to work or go to school today then hopefully ya’ll have something fun planned!

Gloria

We have a fun plost over at Little Miss Muffet Challenges this week as we’re in between challenges and new releases – so the design team has created anything they wanted and are showing them today!  It’s a post that you don’t want to miss out on!  For my project, I used an image that was colored a while ago and decided to adorn her onto a card and this is what I came up with…

For my project I have used Gloria from Little Miss Muffet Stamps as well as the Park Glen Door diecut from Little Miss Muffet Stamps (with the included screen mesh).  The sentiment is from Stampin’ Up as is in French which roughly translates to “The day of your birth is the greatest gift.”  The paper is from Authentique, I think, and it really is that neon blue!!  This is about the sixth time I’ve used and photographed it and the neon always shocks me – just not my taste so I might have to pass the rest of that package off onto my kids.  They’ll love it, I’m sure!  LOL

It’s the start of school week for my family down to the very last one of us!  I started another semester of night school, my two older daughters are going back to elementary school and my youngest has started preschool this year!  What I didn’t know was that my husband is taking a technology class for work this week as well!!  So we’ve all got school on our minds at this house.  😀  Anyway, thanks for coming by and hope you are all having a great week!

Zabel

There is another challenge opening up at Little Miss Muffet Challenges today and the theme is “Pink, Pink, Pink!”  One of my favorites, however, I have a different colored card to show you today… green.  How’s that for logic!  LOL  Actually this is a great time to spill some beans since it reflects to much on my project… although, don’t worry as those beans aren’t that scary.  He he he

The image I used on my project is Zabel from Little Miss Muffet Stamps and was directly inspired by my school hours. So have you figured out my “beans” yet?  I’m going back to school for another torturous semester.  I’ll be around but more in the background and under the table… maybe a nap in the bed too?   But no matter where, I’ll be studying.

The sentiment on the project is “Dream as if you’ll live forever.”

Thanks for coming by today and make sure you head on over to the LMM Challenge blog to see everyone’s “Pink, Pink, Pink” projects – you’re going to love them!!

Eglantine Faerie

Hello bloggers! I have another creation I wanted to share using the new images from Simply Sophia which were releases yesterday.  This one is Eglantine Faerie and I think she is adorable all snuggled up next to her familiar.  😀  So with that I went with a soft color pallet and here’s my card…

The sentiment stamp is from Stampin’ Up and the best part bout this card is I was able to use up the rest of my scraps in this paper line which always feel so good.  😀  Thanks for cooming by and if you get a chance you should stop by the Little Miss Muffet Challenge Blog and see wha the design team has done with these awesome new images!!

I’d like to enter this into the following challenges:

Update: I was featured at Tuesday Alchemy for this project!

The Isles of Aldmer

I am here to show you two fantastic new images from Little Miss Muffet Stamps!  I have added a new artist to the mix … Simply Sophia and you are going to love her style!!  For this week we have six new images added to “The Isles of Aldmer” and you’ll want to be sure to check out the LMM Challenge Blog and see what everyone else has created.  😀

For my first project I used Serena Mermaid from Little Miss Muffet Stamps and went to town with the background.  I had tried this a couple times before with Cooking Tilda with Wooden Spoon and Monster Dreams.  This time I wanted to try with blues and see how that worked – and with all experiments, it looked horrible until it was finished.  LOL

Here’s a detailed shot of both the image and the background.  Someday I’ll do a little tutorial on the background but I can say I started with a little splotches of greens and yellows.  Then layered on patches of blues from light to dark until it was filled in and blended.  Then I added drops of Blender refill and areas where I blended out colors.  Finally I added more bubbles with a white gel pen.

I’d like to enter the above into the following challenges:
Crafty Creations Challenge #183 – Blue, Green & Yellow
Twisted Tuesday Challenge #19 – Predominantly Blue
Southern Girls Challenge #51 – Chippie Heaven
Art with No Boundaries Challenges – Rhythm of the Sea
Update: I was featured at Jackson’s Digital Expressions for this creation!
These new images from Simply Sophia are amazing!  The faeries, mermaids and their familiars live at “The Isles of Aldmer” and there are even more surprises in the future when we go out and visit “The Hills of Mooradale.”  You’re going to love those too but that’s for another release.  😀  Check out this next image from this release…
This project uses Warren Faerie from Little Miss Muffet Stamps and he’s sitting on top of his best friend.  I wouldn’t go anywhere without him by my side… would you?  He he he.  I thought this would be a great boy card and a fun birthday card.  😀  The sentiment is a Kid’s Quote from Inkadinkado and has been one I’ve been wanting to use for a long time.
I’d like to enter this into the following challenges:
Aud Sentiments Challenge #61 – Numbers Up (Bingo sentiment)
Bearly-Mine Challenge #48 – Anything with Wings

Thanks so much for coming by and I hope you enjoy the new releases and our new artist Simply Sophia!  We think it’s awesome and hope you make it over to the LMM Challenge blog to see everyone else’s creations.  Have a great day!
