Zabel Reading

It’s another release day at Little Miss Muffet Stamps and I’m sure you’re going to be excited about this latest batch!  There are seven new rubber stamps – most of them are forest friends but there is one Little Misses that added into the mix.  😀  That one is Zabel Reading which used to be a digital stamp but I changed her hair just a tiny bit and wanted to release her in rubber – after all… this is practically me at all the wee hours of the night trying to get the last little bit of studying in!  LOL

For the background, I wanted to try something different.  I shaded it in with E40-E43 going from the darker to lighter.  Then I used the blender marker to create splotches and later went back in with E42 and E43 to add some dots.  I’m not sure what I was going for exactly but I liked how it turned out.  You’ll never guess the colors of her shirt… I ended up using E07, R08, R22 and R12 to get the colors to match the papers.  (Or at least, get CLOSE to matching!)

After you get done here, you’ve got to head on over to the LMMS Challenge blog to check out all the other new releases and inspiration from the DT – you’re going to luv what they created!  All the images were featured at least one and you can grab them for yourself in the What’s New section of the store this week.  😀  Have a great Thursday!

Lavender with Puppy Additions

Thanks everyone for the good luck wishes on my final exam!  I needed all the help I could get.  😀  Unfortunately, I’m not going to know what my scores are for another week or two but I’m pretty sure I’ve passed two out of three classes.  I know, that sounds terrible, but at least next year I can retake the one class by itself where-as this year all three classes were clustered together.  It was a killer and I’m glad it’s over!  So here’s my project that I wanted to show today…

The images are rubber stamps from Little Miss Muffet Stamps and are Lavender and Puppy Additions.  (I love those puppies!)  They were colored with Copic markers on Neenah paper so it was able to handle most of my blending.  Then shadows were added with BV23.  I wanted to go with bright and cheery colors and also use some of my forgotten diecuts.  Lastly chipboard from Make it Crafty was added and some gems for a touch of sparkle.  😀

Ginger

I can’t believe it’s Thursday already!  My final exam is schedule for today at 6:00pm and I wish I had another week to study!  (Maybe even another month!  LOL)  But alas… I have to get it over with sometime and you know what all be doing all day today.  Sleeping?  He he he.. maybe, but I’ll have my nose in the books, of course!

The image I used is Sugar ‘n Spice Dolls – Ginger from Little Miss Muffet Stamps and there is a new challenge up today and the theme is paper piecing.  I always love to do this but so caught up in the coloring that I easily forget!  Hopefully I won’t wait as long before I do it again.  And you’ll have to make it over to the LMMS Challenge blog to see all the DT creations – they’re gorgeous!!  Thanks for coming by and I hope you have a fabulous day!

Tea Party Friends – Khloe

My brain is truly fried!  So at times like this it’s always a good idea for me to CASE something I adore.  ;D  Do you remember Faye’s lovely creation using the little Zebra from Little Miss Muffet Stamps?  I loved it and thought I would try to re-create the style.  And althought I don’t have the same sentiment stamp, I do have the same Zebra, of course!  LOL  So here’s what I came up with…

The Zebra is one of the animals in the Tea Party Friends #2 – Molly and Khloe set from Little Miss Muffet Stamps.  And the LOL sentiment is from The Greeting Farm.  The ribbon and button are from my stash and finally used a multiliner pen to trace around the oval.  Making a shape card was actually kinda fun and I think I’ll try another one out soon.  ;D

Clover Butterfly Wishes

Come join Little Miss Muffet Stamps on FaceBook where we have a special color challenge!  The theme is to use bold and bright papers for your project since that’s one of my troublesome areas.  I’ve been doing much better about using the primary colors in the images, however, those “loud” papers still cause anxieties.  LOL  So pick out your favorite LMMS and show us what you can do with “Bold & Bright” papers!

This is my project using Clover Butterfly Wishes from Little Miss Muffet Stamps and drawn by Pollycraft.  I’ve also used the Royal Decree sentiment stamp, also from LMMS, and thought it worked well with the faerie theme.

The papers I used have been in my stash for a long time and I always skip over them.  The patterns are wild and busy so when I combine them together they’re even louder and chaotic.  However, this was the challenge for me so I tried to calm it down with some solid colors … but not too much, otherwise that would be too easy!  Even my camera was having problems that day!  (Ha, actually that’s my lighting but it’s fun to blame it on the colors.  he he he)  So how do you think I did?  I’m certainly going to try it again… but after I calm down a bit.  ;D

Foxy

I thought I’d post something a little out of the norm for me today and searched back to my roots (aka the stash of supplies I never use!  LOL) and created this card.  What started my whole process was finding this little fox already colored up on a shelf that was out of the way.  Shame on me – this poor little fox was lonely and yelped with excitement when I found him.  😀

The images I stamped for this card is Foxy from Some Odd Girl and Daisy Rock from Little Miss Muffet Stamps.  Another interesting supply I used, which was also nearly forgotten, is the open book shaped die.  So with all these combined I thought it would make a perfect story telling theme.  Now, we just need to figure out what that fox is thinking…

I didn’t want to color a full background so I used the dot technique with various light blue colors.  I think this helps to distinguish the image from the background and also added a little more color to the center.  Finally, I finished up the card with layers, stitching and accessories!
