Flirty Anya

I made this card using Flirty Anya from The Greeting Farm. The challenge is to CASE the card provided by Club Anya and Friend’s return to Monday Mania. The card chosen just so happened to be my Mom’s card from Grandma’s Pearl! I didn’t intentionally choose the same Anya stamp but it spoke to me the most. So instead of using flower, I used buttons to change it a bit.

Did you know? Perseus was the first of the mythic heroes of Greek mythology whose exploits in defeating various archaic monsters provided the founding myths of the Twelve Olympians.

Draco the Dragon

I made this card using Draco the Dragon from the Whiff of Joy Medieval Collection. I was trying to color the dragon with a salmon pink color but it turned out more orange than expected. The challenge for this card was to create a card or project using something with wings. The other challenges are birthday theme and to use any sentiments.

Did you know? The Van Wert Bandstand is a historic gazebo in Van Wert, Ohio, built in 1874. In the 1870s, such structures fulfilled the role of the third place in many communities such as Van Wert: they hosted political rallies, served as community bulletin boards, and became the starting points for citywide parades and musical events.

Me and My Cat

The challenge is to create a card or project based on the sketch provided and use a Lili of the Valley Stamp or Diecut Image. I used a precolored diecut image and sent it through the press to give it a fun shape and added the sentiment.

Here’s another card sample gone bad, but this time on the coloring. I had used Gina K. Pure Luxury cardstock and over saturated the face and hair which resulted in streaks and blotches. It wouldn’t be something I’d send in the mail so I swapped out the image for something else.

OA Buddies – Amelia

The challenge is to use any stitching or sewing method and incorporate it in at least two layers of cardstock or decorative paper. Since I don’t have a sewing machine setup, I improvised and did faux stitching in white around the center green decorative paper. The second challenge category was to use ribbon.
