Sylvester

This week we are previewing all the new releases from InStyle Stamps and today Sylvester is being featured and this cute image will be available later this month! Check out the InStyle Stamp Blog for more creations featuring Sylvester.

I decorated this button jar above but and added felt flowers around the fence line. I found this sentiment which is perfect for a sheep and I had to use it – so I created this matching card to go with it.

Did you know? Shaun the Sheep is a British stop-motion animated children’s television series produced by Aardman Animations featuring Shaun. He first appeared in the 1995 Oscar-winning Wallace and Gromit short film A Close Shave. Sucked into Wallace’s Knit-o-matic contraption, the sheep is accidentally shorn, so Wallace names him “Shaun”.

Did you know? The mango is the national fruit of India, Pakistan, and the Philippines and in several cultures, its fruit and leaves are ritually used as floral decorations at weddings, public celebrations and religious ceremonies. In Hinduism, the perfectly ripe mango is often held by Lord Ganesha as a symbol of attainment, regarding the devotees potential perfection.[Mango, Wikipedia.org]

Pie

I made this card using Pie digi from InStyle Stamps. It’s getting that time of year again where the aroma of gingerbread and freshly baked pie are a nice welcome home in the evenings! The challenge themes were anything goes, ribbons and “Yummy, yummy, yummy!”

Did you know? Gingerbread is a term used to describe a variety of sweet food products, which can range from a soft cake to something close to a ginger biscuit. What they have in common are the predominant flavors of ginger and a tendency to use honey or molasses (treacle) rather than just sugar.

Patches

I made this card using Patches digi from InStyle Stamps. The challenge this week is to create a card or project based on the sketch provided. I colored Patches with a ghost face making him ready for any Halloween party! I initially colored in a skull face which looked creepy awesome but it was too much for the card’s demographic age.

Tracy

I altered this notebook using Tracy digi and Label 1 rubber stamp from InStyle Stamps., Tracy is also available in a rubber stamp. I experimented with animal skin patterns and had fun coloring the stool’s cushion and phone in a Zebra print. I think the contrast worked out well so I’ll be trying it again. ;D

Town Girl

I made this card using Town Girl by InStyle Stamps. The challenge is an anything goes theme and I experimented with a single-layer white card. Using the border embossing folder really adds the final touch to complete this card. I only wish the embossing folders were just a tad bit bigger as I always have to trim my card down about 1/4″ to fit the design.

Did you know? Ice, technically, may be any one of the 15 known crystalline phases of water. It appears in nature in forms of precipitation snowflakes, hail, icicles, glaciers, pack ice, and entire polar ice caps. Ice is an important component of the global climate, and plays an important role in the water cycle. Furthermore, ice has numerous cultural applications, from ice cooling of drinks to winter sports and the art of ice sculpting.
