Holiday Treats

There is a Surprise Holiday Release from DoveArt Studios coming out. You’ll find them now available in the store at CCDesigns and for my project I used Holiday Treats

I didn’t use any decorative paper this time around since the image was going to be colorful enough that I wanted it to stand out the most.  The black paper was splashed with a little white paint that was watered down.  Then the cheesecloth was added to help it feel more “homemade” from the kitchen.

If you would love to see more creations of the wonderful new release, these other DT members rocked it and will be posting their creations this week also:

Plus you’ll find these and more DoveArt inspiration over on the DoveArt Studios blog.

Lily Pad

For my card today, I used Lily Pad by DoveArt Designs. Even though there are flowers, I thought I would create a masculine card so I picked out some papers with greens and browns.  I also used some Balsa wood in the layering to bring in some natural elements.

The sentiment is a Smile Word Chipboard from Make it Crafty. It’s a light smooth surface so it’s easy to apply color to it.  For this card, I used the following Copic markers and then added some white gel pen.

YG01, 13, 17, G19, YG93
E23, 25, 27, 29

Here are the Copic markers I used on the image…

Tall Cactus

For this card I’ve used Tall Cactus from DoveArt Studios. I was looking for a soft male card for a graduation so I chose colors that were less bold.  Then I doodled around the stamp to give it a border and created a simple card.

The sentiment is a word chippie from Make it Crafty and the paper is This & That from Echo Park.
Here are the Copic colors I used …

I’d like to share this in the following challenges:

Boat Harbor

Bonjour!  I’ve created this card using the Boat Harbor stamp from DoveArt Studios.  I wanted to color a little bit of water and these boats also allowed me to add in some colors. I’ve been short on boy cards so this worked out quite nicely with timing.  For more DoveArt inspiration you can visit the DoveArt Studios blog.

I found my felt stash so I’ve been keeping an eye out for a project where I could add some fluffy clouds and this one worked for the occasion.  The cheese cloth was used to symbolize a fishing net.  I still see cheese cloth but I think that’s because I made it.  LOL

Here are the Copic markers that I used for coloring:
YG25, 63, 17, G28, 24, 40
B91, 02, 04, BG 34, 10, 11, 13
E23, 41, 27, 31

Country Shed

I’m honored to announce that I’ll be spending some time as a guest with Jennifer working with her fabulous rubber stamps, DoveArt Designs Studios.  I hoped that this will allow me to turn over some new leaves and get back to crafting.  😀

For my first project, I set out to create a card but ended up with an envelop instead. This uses the Country Shed rubber stamp and it was stamped on balsa wood.  I planned to add a little color but the balsa wood started to disintegrate so I ditched that idea and went with a monochrome focus.

I did, however, manage to color the leaves, Acorn Leaf Chipboard from Make it Crafty, with Copic colors E11, E23, E25 and YG93.
Hope you enjoy this tidbit of inspiration.
