Itzie Inkies Halloween Candy

Were you ready for this – five posts in one day! I made this teacher’s goodie bag using Itzie Inkies Halloween Candy from CC Designs. This is for two challenges, one being the first challenge of the week at 365 Cards and my final submission which completes the week! It was a sketch and I combined it with Quixotic Inspriations challenge to create a gift. The button at the top says “Halloween” with a pumpking inplace of the “o”.

Did you know? Day of the Dead is a holiday celebrated in Mexico focusing on the gatherings of family and friends to pray for and remember friends and family members who have died. The celebration occurs on October 31 in connection with the Catholic holidays of All Saints’ Day (November 1) and All Souls’ Day (November 2). Due to occurring on the same day as Halloween, or the original celtic Samhain, the Day of the Dead is sometimes thought to be a similar holiday, and the two holidays have much in common.

Updated: Speaking of Blog Candy, the artist of this Fathom Calmsea stamp, Amy, has reached a milestone of 1000 sheets of paper! Since she started making cards for her blog, she kept track of the different papers by setting aside a square of each. I think it’s cool that it’s been sorted by color – that’s something I would do. She has some really beautiful cards on her blog and is one of my sources of inspiration!

Did you know? A paternoster lift, or cyclic elevator, consists of a chain of open compartments that move slowly in a vertical loop inside a building without stopping. Compartments were usually designed for two passengers who would step in or out at any floor they like. They were first built in 1884 and can still be found in many countries, including Austria, Czech Republic, Germany, Hungary and the UK.

Did you know? Sentence spacing is the horizontal space between sentences in typeset text; examples include normal word space, single enlarged space or two full spaces. Although modern digital fonts automatically adjust a single word space there is some debate whether to strike a keyboard’s spacebar once or twice between sentences.
