Mini Dracula

I’ve managing to get all these fun new Halloween images from Make it Crafty colored and placed into my mini journal. I tried to use the same papers on all these Halloween pages so they have a uniform look. This image I used on this one is Mini Dracula and to give him some color I gave him a green/gray tint to his skin and then added red to the inside of his cape and eyes.

The dragon in the background is an upper portion of a bookmark. I originally got a panel of bookmarks to add color too, however, that was three years ago at a renaissance festival…. so don’t you think it’s about time I used them?! LOL The bats are diecuts and created out of felt which finishes off the page. Hope you enjoyed it! 😀

Madelyn

Welcome to the second day of previews over at Little Miss Muffet Challenges blog! Today I’m showing off two more girls… Madelyn and Kaitlyn… so head on over and check out what the rest of the DT have created with these new gals. ;D

I used Madelyn in my mini journal and kept the layout simple with a couple sheets of decorative paper and a dragonfly brad. Finally I went around the edge with a white gel pen for some faux stitching. I had printed her out larger than normal and was pretty lucky that she fit on the page. LOL

I’d like to enter this into the following challenges:

Jan’s Art Journal Linking Party
Crazy Amigo Challenge – sewing
Digistamps4Joy Challenge #27 – colors of fall
Creative Card Crew – anything goes
The Pixie Cottage Challenge #86 – mellow yellow

Brittany

This is Brittany and isn’t she a ca-utie!! I love her hair and wish my own could look like that. He he he – but pink, curly or not, I had loads of fun coloring her. Brittany is part of the Everyday Jude & The Rockers from Simply Betty Stamps and the whole line is simply adorable. ;D

I made this mini journal page for the Simply Betty Stamps Gettin’ Sketchy challenge and chose to use the same sketch that SBS is sponsoring this week… Deconstructing Jen, Sketch #17. The layout is a simplified version of the sketch so it would fit on the smaller page and I used a Tim Holtz tag for the center. Then finished it up with some leftover orange lace I had from last year and tied on a charm.

Mini Medusa

Ah, yes, it’s getting close to Halloween and I’m finally giving into the craze and using those spooky images! After all, I have plenty of them on my shelf that are just crying for the ink! I created this mini page in my journal using Mini Medusa from Make it Crafty. There are six of these cute new monsters and I had to color each one. ;D

The orange mesh ribbon is a new embellishment I picked up last week and was so excited I almost bought out the store! The rest of the supplies have been used before and I even used a small scrap of the Filigree Borders chippies up in the corner – just couldn’t throw that little piece away! LOL

Sitting Annalise

Make it Colourful has an interesting challenge for you today! We want to see you color your image without the lines!! Well, okay, you can have lines but they have to be very, very light. ;D I chose to color Sitting Annalise and the Flower Swing from Make it Crafty for another page in the mini journal.

Coloring with no lines is actually harder than I thought and I probably wasn’t in the exact frame of mind to take on this challenge. It was a good thing I started with the girl because by time I got to the swing I just sort of scribbled on the colors. Maybe next time I’ll be in the mood but for now…. “I like my lines, thank you very much!” LOL

However, you don’t want to miss out returning to the challenge blog and checking out what all the other ladies have done – they all did a wonderful job and there is so much inspiration over there! So pull out your lucky token, hold on tight, and give this a try – it’s one that you don’t want to miss out on. 😀

The challenge blog has a new gallery too … come check it out and upload your challenge project!

Monster Mission

Welcome to another fortnight challenge with Little Miss Muffet Challenges! This time we’re challenging you to create a project using Blues, Purples and Greens. Yes, we want to see all those cool colors in your project … and the more the better! 😀

For my project I used Monster Mission from Little Miss Muffet Stamps and create a page in my small journal book. When I started the page I didn’t have any plan and searched for anything blue, green or purple. When I found it then I used it until it looked finished. 😀 Needless to say, it was a fast page to put together.

I’d like to enter into the following challenges:

Paper Pretties Challenge #31 – Anything but a card
The Paper Shelter Challenge #29 – Anything goes
Creative Card Crew Challenge – Anything goes
Daisy Doodles Creative Challenge #41 – Anything goes
Hear Song Inspirations Challenge #13 – Anything goes

Update: I was featured on She’s Gone Digital Art Linking Journals!
