Here’s a tip for cutting around images without leaving a white border. It can be difficult to cut tightly around the image and consistently stay just on the outside edge of the image. However, once the image has been cut out, mistakes can be hidden by drawing around the cut edge with a small black marker. Also, lines that have been cut in too much can be drawn back and white spots can be “erased” in areas that the scissors couldn’t reach.
Me and My Cat
The challenge is to create a card or project based on the sketch provided and use a Lili of the Valley Stamp or Diecut Image. I used a precolored diecut image and sent it through the press to give it a fun shape and added the sentiment.
Here’s another card sample gone bad, but this time on the coloring. I had used Gina K. Pure Luxury cardstock and over saturated the face and hair which resulted in streaks and blotches. It wouldn’t be something I’d send in the mail so I swapped out the image for something else.

Wild Sprouts Dressy Ebony
The challenge is to create a card or project using a digital image and trying a fun new technique that we haven’t done before. I have never made a round card before and this is also the first time stitching on the card with an actual sewing machine.

I originally created the card with Rock the Farm Anya but then realized it wasn’t a digital stamp, go figure. So off she came and I colored up Dressy Anya, where I had a second chance at matching the colors better. Maybe I’ll get a chance to use her later.

Miss Anya Snow
The challenge is to create a card or project based on the inspirational by a book. I have so many favorites on my bookshelf that I looked towards my stamp collection to find a match. Miss Anya Snow, featured as “Rose”, jump started my inspiration and narrowed down my selection to East by Edith Pattou. This is a book I’ll never forget… again. You see, I had forgotten all about reading it until half way through reading it the second time! It was still an enjoyable read.
“Rose” wouldn’t be complete with the white bear and so I drew up this polar bear to walk along her during their adventures. Since so much is covered up, I took this picutre below to showcase the entire bear. Surprisingly it works well on it’s own but it wouldn’t be “East” without the two together. This card also satisfies a color combination challenge using blue, cream and any additional color, gold.
