Falling into Fairwees #2

I’m excited to be able to use Sweet November’s stamp today and I used one of the fairwee from the Falling into Fairwees #2 set. I loved the little foxes and squirrels in this set so it was love at first sight. I’ve also been waiting for an opportunity to use the little leaf punch that I have. I have two tiny punches, this one and a spider, that I put in the bottom drawer until the next holiday season. Sometimes I forget to bring them out and sometimes they just sit until I put them back. Lucky this year I was able to use them both. I built this scene using dies and colored most of it with blending brushes so it was fun to put together.

Rudolph

I had a few watercolor images left over from last year that I needed to get into cards. This is one of them. Yep, that’s watercolor. I kept this one simple as I didn’t have a lot of time. I used two different dies to layer and make a frame then added some glitter glue and holly leaves. ‘Tis the season and it’s coming up fast! Soon it’ll be 2023 and we’ll be making card for the next holiday season.

Hurricane

The background for my #FloridaStrong project was custom made for that card. I dug out the tools for carving rubber stamps and decided I was going to make a hurricane symbol. Below are a few photos of how I did that. When it was done, I stamped it randomly on the background in a blue then I used distressed inks in lighter colors to color the whole paper blue.

#FloridaStrong

All the artists at Whimy Stamps have come together to create a limited edition #FloridaStrong themed stamp to help in relief efforts of Hurricane Ian. 100% of sales will be donated to a SW FL local organization. This is the image that I created which depicts a girl who is returning baby sea turtles to their habitat after rescuing them from an unsafe beach location. She would also be good for just plain ol’ sea turtle love. This is the original drawing that I colored up and then created a card

Lost in space

I really don’t know where I’m at but hopefully will find my head soon. It’s exhausting to run around without it. 😉 I’ve hit a rough patch but I think I’m ready to crawl out of this dark hole. Thank you to everyone who has left comments for me and well wishes.

I don’t have a card to share that I’ve made but I do have one that my daughter, Ami/Amelia, has made. She used the pre-release Woolly Bear Kids Inspiration stamp from Whimsy Stamps. (Release date to be announced later.) Thanks for your support and I look forward to sharing some inspiration from me soon. In the meantime, you’ll find new releases at Whimsy Stamps including another reindeer set.

Reindeer games

All the reindeer from the newest set (Reindeer Games Jingle All the Way) have come out to play! I wanted to get all four on the same card and thought of this design with the Slimline Film Strip die. I used a little color outside of the reindeer to help create the scene but hoped it didn’t take away the focal point of those four adorable reindeer. I don’t think it did and I loved how it turned out.
