Farmhouse Shiplap Background

For my project I used and colored the Farmhouse Shiplap Background from Whimsy Stamps. I wanted to go for a re-purposed look so I colored the planks different shades of gray, brown and even one or two of them blue. I also added seams with nails.  I thought the background was good enough for a card so I skipped coloring a character to put on top of it.  I simply added a few odds and ends to create this fun maze card.

Here are the Copic markers I used:

E00, 31, 35, 43
E42, 43, 44

Out of This World

Here’s another galaxy background I tried out and this one uses Distress Inks and the round sponge. Thank you to Chrissy (Chrissyd723) for pointing me to the YouTube tutorial.  This technique was less frustrating than the watercolor but it was significantly more time consuming.  However, either one, I liked the results.

Donut Birthday

For my project today, I’ve used three products from Whimsy Stamps: Donut Birthday rubber stamp, Straight Edgers metal die and the Farmhouse Basket stencil. Be warned, this is a dangerous stamp, let me tell you!  Not only was it fun to color but it also left me craving donuts.  LOL This one is on my list for a movement type card so be on the look out for a second project soon.  ;D

Here are the Copic markers I used on this:
