A happy camper

I’ve been a very happy camper this week and enjoyed creating this card using the Gone Camping set from Whimsy Stamps. This was such a fun and easy card to put together with very minimal coloring too. I love the feel of this one which brings in essences of cool temperatures, picnics and post cards. I think it would be fun to have a vintage camper like this one. Camping is the best!

Desert Stack

No that didn’t say dessert stack… this is a desert stack. As in hot and dry but cute little animals. From the Animal Tiles Desert Unexpected Wonder clear set, the ones I chose to featured on this card is a jackalope, desert ringtail, cactus flower and a baby pygmy owl. I thought it would be fun to stack them up to create this A2 sized card. These little tile animals are so fun to color and can be arranged in various ways. My favorite is to tile the images 3 across and 4 down and to tile the whole card. 😉 Do you have a favorite?

There’s cake right?

I don’t work with purple very often but somehow ended up with this pink and purple frog that I needed to create a card for. This was one of those cards that I wasn’t sure how it was going to turn out or what my next step was going to be. Do you ever have that happen? So I took it one step at a time and ended up with this. The final piece was adding the cheesecloth which softened the colors in the background enough for my eyes. I actually liked how it turned out. It will be a fun birthday card for someone.

Hay Sunshine

This girl is Polka Dot Pals Atlas and she is hot on sale! You’ll want to grab her before she’s gone because she’s one of my favorite characters. Her arms are out ready to give anyone a hug or to hold up something to share. With summer being so hot, I thought this would be the perfect June card to make. I colored her with watercolors and added lots of yellow sunshine glowing on her arms, face and clothes to give that warm sunny look. If you missed out on the clear set, you can also find her chasing butterflies in digital form: Polka Dot Pals Atlas Chasing Butterflies

Let’s go to the beach

I colored this image using watercolors at Jennifer’s boot camp and we ended up coloring the whole sheet. However, because I wasn’t using watercolor paper, it was difficult to get the look that I was gong for. So when it came time to create the card, I wasn’t sure what I wanted to do – I like parts of the card but the other parts didn’t look the way I wanted them. Do I cut it up? I ended up using the Atlas Mason Jar die set and created a shaker card. I wasn’t sure how it was going to turn out but I think it turned out rather nice.

I wish for BIG desserts!

I colored this card a while ago and had planned to cut it all up and make more than one card. Then I thought, wouldn’t it be fun to make a card like this but apply everything loosely then take it apart and make more than one card after that? Yea that was my good plan but it didn’t follow through very well especially when I started using the glue instead of small squares of sticky tape. Oops. However, I like how this one turned out and shows all the desserts from Sweet Tiles – Desserts stamp set.
