There are so many adorable felted mice out there. My Mom showed me a pin cushion Felted Mouse from Suzie of Crowsnest Pass from TDIPT Mercantile and asked if I could make a couple for her. This isn’t exactly but they do take after hers. The mouse is needle felted and the strawberries are sewn with sheet felt. They are sitting on vintage wooden spool that are very very old. I have forgot exactly but I was impressed how old they were.
These little turtle were so fun to color as a rainbow. I only wish they were bigger but they’re still on my list to color again. They are Turtle Stackers from Art Impressions and I have my eye on the penguins next but time will tell. The sentiment is the Hello Word Chipboard from Make it Crafty and was colored with Copic marker then sparkled with Art Anthology Sorbet dimensional paint.
Sometimes I buy cute stamps just to entice my daughters to color along with me. I think this one was proper bate so I hope to see some activity on that side of the desk. This is Magical Dragons from My Favorite Things and I used the Bright Side of Life Chipboard sentiment from Make it Crafty.
Here are a few felt animals/critters that I’ve made over the past few weeks. The dog and elephant are patterns from the Pipsqueaks Itsy-Bitsy Felt Creations book. I’ve done the elephant before so it was much easier to second time. The dog was altered to have longer ears and to be larger than the pattern. Then the inside of the ears was given a pattern fabric lining. I don’t remember where the snail came from but was an adaptation of one I saw on Pinterest.
Isn’t this the cutest little guy?! I thought with all the stripes on the onesie that he could be colored in all sorts of ways. So this time I went with a valentines theme. This is Bee Henry from CC Designs stamps and also using their Smoochie papers for the background.
Here’s another project I made with Magical Dragon by My Favorite Things. I also used a variation of the Rainbow Clouds Chipboard from Make it Crafty to decorate the rest of the card. The white was painted with Gesso and the colored rainbow was colored with Liquid Pearls.
