Here’s another one of the sheets from the Scratch & Scribble Playful Pups kid’s set I found at the store. These are so fun and quick to put together plus the scratching is thera-pug-ic. Ha ha ha, yea I don’t think that pun worked very well. However, it’s nice to do something different after a whole bunch of coloring.
Ready for another coloring session? This is Sunbonnet Fireman Puppy rubber stamp from Little Miss Muffet Stamps and we’re going to color this scene – fire hydrant included! I know you can do it as I break it down section by section and color by color. Come join me and sign up for this versatile card HERE. I’m going to add a sympathy sentiment to mine and save it for when it’s needed.
This adorable scene is the perfect combination of spring flowers and lazy summer days. In this class you’ll learn how to color Wisteria flowers, a stone background and flower pots – along with everything else. When you’re finished, you’ll just need to mount it on a card front and send it to one of your favorite peoples.
Today I have something different to share … but kinda the same! For this project, I wanted to combine the Polka Dot Pals Faces and a non-character stamp so I chose the Tall Cactus, both from Whimsy Stamps. I started by inking up the Tall Cactus with brown and green ink; I didn’t ink the center of the pot because that’s where the face was going to go.
I colored the face and the pot first and especially wanted to contort the face through coloring so I added a lot of lines and definition. Then I colored the cacti, adding more at the bottom for hair, and then added some flowers. Finally I was able to get to the background and I had a lot of fun with that.
It’s time for some fishing!! I was experimenting with a pond scene and used this stamp, Sunbonnet Wade Fishing from Little Miss Muffet Stamps. Not wanting to leave it uncolored, I finished the card and made it into a coloring session class. You can sign up for the class HERE and choose between three fishing stamps. All of them will use the same colors and we’ll color the same scene – and it’s great for any birthday or Father’s day card when you need one.
I created this scene to help a friend out with coloring a pond. When I started, what I was doing didn’t turn out the way I had it in my mind but I kept going. It still didn’t look ok until I was finished with the whole card. Now, what stood out to me as an error doesn’t stand out any more. So it was a good reminder to just keep going.
I found these cute animals and thought they would make a great male birthday card so I stamped almost all of them on a card and colored this scene. These from the Possum Set from Art Impressions and I used three of them to create this scene. I add extra branches and leaves and then completed the background with a little pond and some tall grass. My favorite part is the party possum tossing the confetti out in the air.
