It’s always fun to shop in the store personally rather than online and pick-up because of the unplanned treasures found that inevitably increase the purchase price. That was just the case for this card when I spotted a Scratch & Scribble mini kit featuring Playful Pups. It reminded me of a project Sandy Allnock did recently and I thought it would be fun to try.
This was a super easy car to put together and scratching the black reminded of doing this as a kid. The colors were already part of the layer under the black so all I had to do when finished as place it on a card front.
Sometimes I have left over images that I’ve stamped that are sitting on my desk for no reason. I don’t like to toss them out so they sit there until I find a use for them. This is one of those cases where I had an extra unicorn from Polka Dot Pals Mason. I needed to test out a new color combination so I nabbed it and colored away.
Funny thing is, after I colored it, it sat on my desk for another couple weeks until I figured out what to do with it. This bookmark came to mind and I used the Bold ABC Die and AlFaDoodles to create a scene reminiscent of an Easter Egg hunt. With additional flowers from Polka Dot Pals Mason and Polka Dot Pals Syeda, it added a whimsical look that I was going for.Lastly I added some white accents with a gel pen and glitter glue in some areas.
