La Jeune Fille à l’Eventail

It’s finally here!! The day the winners are announced for the mini Paris Blog Hop at Little Miss Muffet Challenges AND the winners of the Paris “Love” Challenge at ThreeCompaniesTeamUp blog!! Check out both places and see if you’re a winner! Plus the latest issue of the Whimsy Magazine has come out featuring even more Paris inspired projects – check out Issue 7, pages 46-60!

For my project I used elements from all three companies… La Jeune Fille à l’Eventail from Little Miss Muffet Stamps (which means “The Girl with a Fan” in case you were wondering), Vintage Travel Postage Stamps from Whimsy, and Love Heart Swirls chipboard accessents from Make it Crafty.

I colored his French girl for the rubber stamp packaging which was done a while ago so putting together the card went by fast. It’s nice when that happens sometimes! Nothing extra special about the card layout except I was able to use a new Netabilities die I got last week and I was even good to use a few old flowers I’ve had laying around. So that would be something new, something old… now I’d just need something borrowed! LOL

Hope you’ve enjoyed all the Paris inspired festivities and have a Happy Leap Year day!! After all, it only comes around once in a blue moon… I mean once in four years! He he he

Grow

Surprise… two posts today!! Don’t miss out on my Halloween project HERE, or scroll down, then check out this fabulous teacher project. 😀 You might have remembered this project from before but it’s slightly different and features another cute Nouveau Girl! I made this project for an inspiration post over on the Some Odd Girls blog. Come on over to take a look and I hope you like it!

For this project I used Grow from where?.. you know where, from Some Odd Girl, of course! 😀 I love that it comes with the extra images and sentiments which I used all over.

I thought this image was perfect because of the apples but I sometimes wonder if teachers get tired of apples. LOL But I colored it yellow, maybe a Golden Delicious, to not make it so obvious. The papers I used is from last year and it always feels good to use up the old stash – at least it justifies buying more!

The frame is a simple plastic picture frame from Walmart and about the size of 4×6″. This project fits nicely inside and then I placed a 3×3″ sticky pad on the front plastic side. Then when all the sticky notes are gone, it reveals the hidden message “Grow Everyday.”

Here’s what the frame looks like on the side and as you can see would sit nicely on a desk. They’re super easy to make and I think I’ll do it again for Christmas too! Thanks for coming back! 😀

Lavinia Portrait

It’s time for another 12 Months of Halloween challenge at Simply B Stamps! This month our theme is to create any hand made Halloween treat bag, trick-or-treat bag, cupcake holder, or anything Halloween that would hold any special treats! I ended up getting out my long forgotten Cricut machine and cutting out a treat box which worked out perfectly.

The top part of the box features Lavinia Portrait from the Steampunk Line at Simply B Stamps. I placed it inside a Martha Stewart label then added some gems. The ribbon is lopped around and glued under it for a handle.

Around the outside of the box I cut out small 2×2 inch squares of scene of Haunting Hill Jumbo Wheel from Stampin’ Up! The whole scene is probably 7 to 8 inches wide so I was pretty much able to get four unique scenes punched out. I loved how simple the box came together and I got to do a lot of coloring. ;D

Thanks for stopping by and make sure you get to make it over to the SBS Blog to see the rest of the inspiration from Challenge #2! 😀

Hatter Hats

Welcome to another inspirational day with Little Miss Muffet Stamps!! First, I just have to say that the design team is knocking this release out of the part and you don’t want to miss out on what they’ve created today – check them out on the LMMS Challenge blog. 😀

For my project I used Elisabeth Louise’s hatter from the Hatter Hat rubber stamp from Little Miss Muffet Stamps. I thought those cute little hats would be perfect for tags or even to scatter them around your projects for added color! I also used the LOVE sentiment from Whimsy that came in one of their ticket stamps which had a goof vintage fell to it.

The charm was found at the local hobby store and it was only by chance that I happened up on! They didn’t have very many in stock, but between the two of us, my Mom and I got them all. The black filigree is a chippie from Make it Crafty then painted with acrylic paints.

Thanks for stopping by and I hope you enjoy the rest of your weekend!

Just Betty

There is some exciting news over at Simply B Stamps today and tomorrow… a Spring Cleaning Sale and a Surprise Limited Digi Release!! So head on over and load up while you can. 😀 To celebrate, I created this bookmark using Just Betty and colored her in festive spring colors.

Somehow I always seem to use the new stuff on the table instead of digging into my stash – am I the only one? It’s just so simple to reach out and use it! I really need to learn to put my stuff away then all my supplies could get equal share. LOL This one uses new papers, new pearls and even new diecuts. 😀

By the way, I finally setup FeedBurner on this blog as well as the LMMS Challenge blog!! Here are the quick links for subscribing – you can chose using a Reader or subscribing via email. I’ll keep my fingers crossed but if you sign up and have problems… please let me know!

Finally, I’m back in business!! LOL I finally got my printer setup from Christmas and started printing my digi images on quality paper! I get to say goodbye to copy paper and hello to blending!! Well, at least, I will in the near future. I have to order some blending paper now and finish up coloring the stack of digi images I already have printed and planned as projects. But I’m on my way to happier days. 😀

Thanks for stopping by and I hop you all have a great Friday!!

Emily Rose Hatter

We have a fantastic challenge for you over at Little Miss Muffet Challenges and this time our theme is “Fancy or Lacy!” I know we all love to dress up our projects with lace and lots of embellishments – at least for me, it’s hard not to! So to celebrate this compulsive habit, I’ve decided to make a challenge of it – so the fancier or the lacier the better!! 😀

For my project I used Emily Rose Hatter from Little Miss Muffet Stamps and placed her in front of Ivy Window Wall the from Make it Crafty. Then I used the coordinating chippies and diecuts to create the sentiment (N3 Swirl Frame chippie from Make it Crafty and N3 Notables Die from Whimsy). I had to chop the frame a little and move around a couple swirls to get it to fit in the corner but it’s still just as fancy and elegant. 😀 The sentiment is also from Whimsy and is from Birthday Letter Seals.

The fancy part comes from the wide lace ribbon and all the pearls scattered around the card. Plus I was able to use two of my pearl brads from Whiff of Joy at the top corner…. and of course, the frame/sentiment helps. The papers are new and something I picked up at the scrapbook store the other day – I’ve noticed that yellow is coming back into season! So many to choose from and they’re all perfect for spring.

Thanks for stopping by and I hope you’ve enjoyed my card. Don’t miss out visiting the Little Miss Muffet Challenges for more inspiration and also the current Paris Blog Hop – which only goes until Sunday to be eligible for the prizes!

I’d like to ener this into the following challenges:
