Harvest Swan

It’s new release week at Little Miss Muffet Stamps and I have four new images we’re showing off today and tomorrow. Here I’m featuring Harvest Swan and I colored it up in black and whites for a wedding card. I kept the card simple and added a silk black ribbon and only a few dew drops at the lower corner.

I think this image would also be fun for baby cards too as well as birthday, of course, and this card could be also be used for a classy “over the hill” birthday card! Head on over to the Little Miss Muffet Challenge blog and check out all the other inspiration from the design team – they’ve done a fantastic job! Enjoy. ;D

I’d like to enter into the following challenges:

Ladybug Crafts Ink Challenge – animals
Party Time Tuesdays Challenge #34 – monochrome
Crafty Ribbons Challenge #2 – anything goes
Celebrate the Occasion Challenge #31 – birthday balloons
Anything Goes Challenge #50 – anything goes

Mini Frankenstein

I can’t believe it’s only Wednesday! I’ve been off by one all day today but this time it works to my advantage and I get my Wednesday back again! LOL Today I have another mini journal page and this one is featuring Mini Frankenstein from Make it Crafty – he’s the third and last MonztaBoys in the group.

I used another one of my bookmarks for the background castle and a house number metal embellishment from Tim Holtz. I figured with the dragon there, that this little Frankenstein is being kicked out of his home at 82 Castle Street. LOL No wonder he’s sulking a little. Then I finished up the page with a few Dew Drops around the bottom. Enjoy!

Mini Headless Horseman

Good morning! Today I have another Halloween mini journal page to show and this one is featuring the Mini Headless Horseman from Make it Crafty. This little guy was a little difficult to choose how I wanted him to be colored but I finally figured out one possible way and even tried to give a little embroidery details in his vest.

Behind him are face cards that were cut from a Halloween Alice & Wonderland decorative paper, which I think is from Tim Holtz. Then I cut some shapes out of felt (Nestabilities and MFT Die-namics) and added a few orange brads at the bottom to finish it off. Happy haunting! 😀

Mini Medusa

Here’s another one of the Halloween mini pages I mad with the Make it Crafty images… this one is Mini Medusa and I ended up coloring her twice! This is actually my first attempt and you can see my second attempt HERE. On this version I gave her tan snake hair (sans nose) and a green and yellow body.

On this page, I used some more of that meshy ribbon and added a yellow ribbon bow I found in the dollar section. Finally I added some faux stitching and two bat charms at the top – the page doesn’t lay flat, but I’ve given up on that long ago! LOL

School Girl Tia

Remember these gals? Of course… this scene was featured all by itself last Saturday and I was finally able to get them onto a journal page! ;D For this project, I used School Girl Tia and Bookish Tia from Some Odd Girl then set in front of the Sunflower Garden by Make it Crafty.

Last week I had put an orange decorative paper behind the images with a satin black ribbon which halted all creativity I had! Lucky for me the challenge was a coloring challenge and I didn’t necessarily need the rest – so I pulled everything off and started from scratch.

This time I used a black and green background paper which worked much better. That meshy stuff is Punchinella Ribbon that I found online. I also added some faux stitching around both gray papers and two large lacing Xs next to the cat. Finished!

I’d like to enter this into the following challenges:

She’s Gone Digital – Art journal linking party
Some Odd Girl Challenge – stitching

Betty & Christian Addams

It’s Saturday and we’ve got another challenge for you over at Make it Colourful – this week we’re challenging you to color with Blacks & Oranges! So what was the challenge again? I seriously had to look it up several time *while* making my journal page – I just couldn’t remember! So alas, I have a lot of blacks and some oranges in my coloring. LOL

On my page I used the pumpkin scarecrow portion of Haunted Halloween House from Make it Crafty (plus some Mini Dragonflies chippies), Betty Addams and Christian Addams from Simply Betty Stamps, and two tombstones in Epitaphs from Inkadinkado.

I decorated the rest of the page with a graveyard theme and used muted colors for a drab and dreary feel. Isn’t it romantic!? The felt was cut with dies from My Favorite Things and the roses are part of a ribbon that was cut into section.

The orange is YR18, YR14, YR12 and YR21 and I used all four shades of black on the project. The clothes were done in Neutral and Toner shades, the hair in Cool and the tombstones in the Warm shades. I had colored the pumpkin scarecrow so long ago that I don’t remember the colors – however, the blacks/grays and oranges are in there too!
