There’s cake right?

I don’t work with purple very often but somehow ended up with this pink and purple frog that I needed to create a card for. This was one of those cards that I wasn’t sure how it was going to turn out or what my next step was going to be. Do you ever have that happen? So I took it one step at a time and ended up with this. The final piece was adding the cheesecloth which softened the colors in the background enough for my eyes. I actually liked how it turned out. It will be a fun birthday card for someone.

Hay Sunshine

This girl is Polka Dot Pals Atlas and she is hot on sale! You’ll want to grab her before she’s gone because she’s one of my favorite characters. Her arms are out ready to give anyone a hug or to hold up something to share. With summer being so hot, I thought this would be the perfect June card to make. I colored her with watercolors and added lots of yellow sunshine glowing on her arms, face and clothes to give that warm sunny look. If you missed out on the clear set, you can also find her chasing butterflies in digital form: Polka Dot Pals Atlas Chasing Butterflies

Let’s go to the beach

I colored this image using watercolors at Jennifer’s boot camp and we ended up coloring the whole sheet. However, because I wasn’t using watercolor paper, it was difficult to get the look that I was gong for. So when it came time to create the card, I wasn’t sure what I wanted to do – I like parts of the card but the other parts didn’t look the way I wanted them. Do I cut it up? I ended up using the Atlas Mason Jar die set and created a shaker card. I wasn’t sure how it was going to turn out but I think it turned out rather nice.

Sending Mooyah Smiles

Hello my friend – this is a card that I created using the Cow Friends stamp from Whimsy Stamps along with the Quilted Rainbow Inlaid which I love using. The small sized scallop edge is perfect for a dainty feel which is what I was going for on this one. As you can see, I extended the same color pallet from the previous card with the pinks and greens. I colored this using my watercolors at Jennifer’s boot camp and I believe she drew in the tree for the bovine to lean on (but correct me if I’m wrong). At first, I wasn’t sure how it would make a good card because of all that white which stood out too much for me but I rather like it now that it’s framed and finished. What do you think?

You’re so awesome!

This colorful card features the cone flowers from Bees Knees and I chose to go with a rainbow theme for Cassandra. She had to leave Boot Camp early so I don’t remember if she saw it or not. I love these flowers done in any color but I think blues are my favorites. This was done with watercolors and this last week I created the card using a bunch of dies from Whimsy Stamps. Those were colored with Copics and Distressed Inks to come up with the final product. It was a lot of fun to create and I hope it brings a big smile to anyone who receives it.

Does organization lead to productivity?

Most of you know that I’ve been working hard to unpack and organize my craft room. Or rather my craft table! I think I was finally able to get it to a point that I could start working on some unfinished projects. (You might have seen that pile of “to-do’s” on my desk photo that I posted on Facebook.) So for me the answer to the question of “does organization lead to productivity?” then it would be an absolute YES! That’s how I get motivated to work when I don’t have any mojo. So without further ado, here is my first of many from my recent efforts…
