Galaxy Galore Background

It’s a new release at Whimsy Stamps and I’ve created a card using the new Galaxy Galore Background along with the Bundled Up stamp in the foreground. There are loads of other inspiration from the Whimsy DT this week.

I started with embossing the background in white then used my sponge to ink on the blue and faded it towards the bottom. For the girl, I colored her with markers first and then used the pencils to create the knitting. I’ll be forever grateful to Annabel for enlightening my world with this texture. I love it!

These are the Copic Markers that I used:
W10, E49, 47, 33
E31, 33, 35, 23, 27
W5, 7, 9, C3, 5
E04, 02, R05, 12
BG49, 45, 53, 10
Here are Prismacolor Pencils used:
1027, 1015, 992, 938, 105
Distressed Ink: Tumbled Glass

This and other Whimsy Stamps are available at Little Miss Muffet Stamps.

Polka Dot Pals Joshua

There’s a fun new release at Little Miss Muffet Stamps and you can see more inspiration on the LMMS Challenge blog.  For my project I’ve merged a scene using the Polka Dot Pals Joshua series release which includes all the following digital stamps:

I used my Prismacolor Pencils and colored on a taupe or krafty color. I actually don’t know what color it is but I thought it would work well with a desert theme. Then I colored the sky mostly blues and greys so I’m glad I had a little bit of the taupe color showing.

Merry Moose-mas

My project was inspired again by Annabel and her awesome knitting pattern which I colored again on this Moose. This is Merry Moose-mas from Whimsy Stamps. I colored the scarf and hat originally in Copic markers but wasn’t able to get the details I was looking for. So I then went over it with Prismascolor pencils and brought back in the details.

These are the Copic markers I used on Merry Moose-mas:
B21, 95, 39
BG11, 13, 23, 18
C1, 3
E42, 43, 44, 47
W1, 4, 6, 8, 9
E51, 53, 55, 31, 53
This and other Whimsy Stamps are available at Little Miss Muffet Stamps.

Bunny Found One

Welcome to Day 3 of the Whimsy Stamps March release week countdown. We have some more adorable images to share with you today, ones that are perfect for spring and Easter. Today I have a project that shows Bunny Found One and Farmhouse Shiplap Background

Although, it’s difficult to see the background stamp – I thought the color I chose would show up more then I ended up covering most of that paper anyway. I goofed when I stamped the Bunny Found One and didn’t press evenly to get a full impression so that’s why the daffodil flower is missing – but waste not want not and I strategically placed a gem and movement lines where it showed up the most.  Lost of mistakes but I pressed on and you wouldn’t have really noticed if I didn’t spill the beans.

I then colored it using my Prismacolor pencils on soft Balsa wood. I colored it in rainbow colors similar to the Ty plush toys that we have so many of around the house. Then since the bunny was so colorful, I changed the egg to be a chocolate egg. The sentiment is Make it Crafty a chipboard embellishment.

Polka Dot Pals Jane

Here’s the project I’ve been working and showing sneak peeks in the LMMS Facebook group. I’ve used Polka Dot Pals Jane rubber stamp from Little Miss Muffet Stamps and stamped it on Balsa wood.  Then I used my Prismacolor pencils and and worked on the kitting and linen textures I’ve seen Annabel use on her project.  She’s been an inspiration!

I’m entering this into the Make it Crafty challenge for “adding extra details” to a stamp and I’ve used the Rainbow Clouds chipboard embellishments.  I’m also showing this for the Anything Goes challenge at Little Miss Muffet Stamps, of course.

This is what Polka Dot Pals Jane looked like before the knitting…

Now after knitting, (and a face) here’s what she looks like…

This is a face that I added myself.  However, if you’re not that confident or want to add a face quickly, then you can try the Polka Dot Pals Add-on Faces which make it a cinch.
